This is the T2 Lemon Sorbet. It’s described as being a ‘zesty burst of lip-smacking lemon and luscious lime, so delish you’ll want to dive right into your cup’.

The tea is a looseleaf blend of green tea, white hibiscus, lemongrass, lemon balm, lemon myrtle, lemon peel, natural and artificial flavouring, and sandy everlasting flower.

Steeping 2 g of loose leaf in 200 mL of water at 80°C, the infusion was a clear yellow colour with some floating tea dust and a sweet scent of lemon balm that reminds of the citric acid that gave jelly crystals their typical aroma. Served hot, the same flavour of citric acid — with its artificial lime and lemon notes — came through, first with an initial zesty sweetness before developing with the sharper acidity of lemon juice that lingered long in the body before leaving a clean aftertaste.
Overall, the presence of green tea is overwhelmed by the flurry of lemon-like ingredients, which themselves celebrate the artificial lemon flavour rather than the refreshing acidity of the fresh fruit itself. We’re better off adding a slice of fresh lemon to a cup of green tea.

This T2 Lemon Sorbet contained 50 g. It was packed in Poland and received as a gift from acquaintances in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
