Having grown up with the overly acidic flavour of apple juice, we’ve mostly limited ourselves to the chilled citrus juices in the fridge. Recently, though, we discovered this The Apple Press Cold Pressed Apple Envy. The bottle has a sweet-tart scale to let customers know what kind of apple juice they’re getting. This one contained 90% pressed Envy apple juice and 10% crushed Envy apples (10%).

 

The juice is a translucent straw colour with sweet apple aroma and crushed Envy apples at the bottom. Served chilled, the juice has a prominent sweetness with a more viscous, smooth mouthfeel and more complex flavour than the overly acidic flavour of apple juice from concentrate. The overall flavour was exactly as we’d expect of cold pressed juice: it tastes just like a delicious liquid version of the fruit itself. While we enjoyed looking at the crushed Envy apples at the bottom of the bottom, they didn’t add much in terms of texture, alas.
