This is the Top Fruit Coowy Fudge Mango. It is a soft candy made from tapioca, not gelatin or agar.

Each candy piece measured approximately 2 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter, featuring a bright, opaque yellow appearance that appeared somewhat moist. A sweet aroma reminiscent of fresh mangoes wafted from the candy. Upon tasting, the candy’s exterior had a sticky quality, and upon biting into it, there was a pleasantly resilient yet softer-than-gummy, firmer-than-mochi texture, reminiscent of the steamed tapioca cakes commonly found in Vietnam, or a super-sized mango-flavoured tapioca ‘pearl’. The mango flavour came forth immediately, offering the juicy sweetness of mangoes, although its vibrancy was subdued by a faint savoury note in the latter part of each bite.

Overall, the candy had a surprising stickiness of the texture with the promise of fresh mango flavour, but the missing touch of gentle acidity in the finish left us longing for more mango flavour.
