This Whittaker’s Creamy Caramel Block is described as having a ‘luscious new caramel filling, creamier than ever and covered in super smooth 33% cocoa cream milk chocolate’.

The milk chocolate holds its shape with a crisp, clean break and distinct chocolate flavour before melting to a creamy smoothness that contrasts remarkably well with the gooey and stretchy caramel. I’m not a general fan of caramel-filled chocolate because many manufacturers do not provide sufficient structural integrity in the chocolate shell, meaning that it’s a sticky mess from either being shattered in transit or from the force of snapping off a block and not worth the trouble. In contrast, though, the chocolate here tastes refined while the caramel tastes velvety smooth.
This Whittaker’s Creamy Caramel Block contained 250 g. It was produced in New Zealand and received as a gift from relatives from Auckland, New Zealand in 2020.
