Signature Crispy Chicken Served with Tomato Rice (Cơm Gà Da Giòn) ($19.00.99)
Despite the rebrand, the ownership remains unchanged, and the dish tasted identical to its Tan Viet predecessor. The chicken was fried to order, with the skin rendered into a paper-thin, shatteringly crisp layer, while the meat within stayed tender and juicy. The tomato rice carried a gentle tomato flavour, though it could have been more pronounced. The pickled cabbage delivered the same winning balance of crunch, sweetness, and tang, helping cut through the richness of the fried chicken. The accompanying soup, however, was still watery, with only a faint chicken note. The main difference here was the portion size, with both the chicken and rice served in noticeably smaller amounts than before.
Overall, still a tasty rendition that satisfies the craving, but now pricier and less generous in portion.
