This is the Ommi’s Lava Mooncake Oolong Tea with Osmanthus.

It featured a Taiwanese oolong tea–flavoured crust and bean paste with an osmanthus honey centre. Traditional in its circular form, it measured around 5 cm in diameter and 2 cm in height. The exterior was a deep brown hue, releasing an immediate fragrance of roasted oolong upon opening.

On tasting, the surface gave way to a light crispness, followed by the dense bean paste and a molten centre. The roasted oolong dominated from the outset, infusing the bean paste with an assertive depth that masked other subtler notes. In contrast, the osmanthus filling provided an elegant honeysuckle-like sweetness, carrying both floral lift and textural nuance from the blossoms. The interplay between the silky lava centre and the structured exterior created a striking textural contrast. Aromatic, refined, and clearly designed for tea enthusiasts, this stood out as one of the most delightful mooncakes we have tried.
