In each box, there was a pouch containing four shiitake mushrooms and four abalones immersed in a braised broth. The dish emitted a savoury aroma reminiscent of oyster sauce. Upon consumption, both the abalones and mushrooms exhibited a silky smoothness and tender texture that dissolved with ease in the mouth. The abalone, in particular, contributed a more pronounced oceanic flavour that harmonized well with the deep umami of the mushrooms. The preparation of both components was exemplary, resulting in a delectable and impeccably cooked dish. The nuances of scallop and oyster notes within the brown sauce complemented the maritime profile of the abalones. We would consider consuming this once more if it were presented to us as a gift. However, we remain unconvinced of its value to justify the premium pricing for personal purchase.
