The beverage was a cloudy off-white hue and emitted a slightly pungent fruit vinegar aroma accompanied by distinct floral yuzu undertones. When enjoyed chilled, the presence of apple cider vinegar became apparent, contributing a vibrant acidity with a gentle flavour. Subsequently, the yuzu notes unfolded within the body of the drink, imbuing it with a delicate floral and citrus fragrance reminiscent of the fruit’s juice rather than its typical zesty sharpness. The inherent carbonation of the beverage played a role in cleansing the palate after the bright acidity, leaving behind a refreshingly clean aftertaste. Despite a mild sweetness, the characteristic bitter aftertaste often associated with artificially sweetened drinks was admirably concealed. While the natural acidity of the apple cider vinegar harmonized well with the yuzu, the prominent vinegary undertones dissuaded us from considering this drink for repurchase.
