This is the Glico Papico Apple, a sorbet-style frozen sweet made using 70% apple from juice (red and green apples from Brazil) and pulp.

The product presented as two connected soft plastic bottle-shaped tubes designed to be separated into individual servings. The sorbet itself showed an opaque off-white hue with small, darker beige apple cubes distributed throughout.
Initial contact delivered a semi-frozen, slush-like texture that softened rapidly on the palate, creating a smooth, creamy impression despite the absence of dairy. The opening flavour carried a pronounced, rounded apple sweetness, reminiscent of Fuji apple. Through the mid-palate, a light, fresh acidity emerged, aligning with the profile of fresh apple. The embedded apple cubes introduced gentle textural contrast, with a soft crunch and a slightly sharper acidity compared to the surrounding sorbet. Distribution was even, with pieces passing cleanly through the opening without obstruction. Towards the finish, the sweetness and acidity remained balanced, resolving cleanly without heaviness.
Overall, a frozen sorbet with clear apple flavour, balanced sweetness and acidity, and integrated fruit texture, resulting in a clean and refreshing structure.
This Glico Papico Apple contained 160 mL (80 mL x 2). It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2026.
