Lemon, lime & bitters is the drink on order when I’m at a dreaded networking event that calls for drinking. It’s not only fancier than still or sparkling water, but also tasty without the tipsy. And the bitters that make the tastiest drink is that by the House of Angostura famed for its oversized label. This here is the ready-to-drink Angostura Lemon Lime and Bitters made with their aromatic bitters and lemon and lime flavouring.

The beverage was a transparent orange colour with an aromatic citrus nose and a moderate carbonation. Served chilled, sweet and tangy lemon and lime notes came through in the head before a pleasant zesty bitterness – from the bitters – developed in the body to leave a fresh and subtle aromatic finish. Angostura distinguishes itself from other brands of ready-to-drink lemon, lime & bitters by the depth and complexity of flavour brought by the zesty bitterness, which is absent in almost all other brands.
