This is the Nestlé KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Cassis. This is part of their premium range sold only as single full-sized wafers.

Each wafer is individually wrapped in foil and ‘covered in white couverture chocolate, infused with cassis juice powder’. It contained 2.9% passionfruit juice concentrate.

This KitKat has a beautiful deep purple colour and rich cocoa aroma with the slightest hint of fruitiness that recalled dark chocolate. Upon tasting, the teeth crunch through the crispy wafers that deliver a gentle sweetness from the cream sandwiching the wafers before the white chocolate melts and releases an initial white chocolate creaminess before the gentle berry acidity of the cassis builds towards a moderate punchiness in the finish ahead of a clean aftertaste. The natural sweetness of the cassis gave less punch than in the yuzu or passionfruit, yet still recalled the natural flavours of the fresh fruit for an enjoyable KitKat.

This KitKat Chocolatory Sublime Cassis contained 11 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
