This is the Godiva Langue de Chat Cookies.

Each box contained 30 individually sealed cookies. Each cookie was circular, measuring approximately 4 cm in diameter and 0.6 cm in height, formed by two thin biscuits sandwiching a layer of either milk or dark chocolate.

The biscuits themselves were light and crisp, with a delicate cocoa tone and a clean snap. The chocolate layers in both versions were immediately recognisable for their quality, presenting as smooth, creamy, and well-tempered, providing the primary richness of the experience.

Milk Chocolate Lange de Chat Cookie
The milk chocolate filling was rounded and mellow, with a gentle sweetness that allowed the biscuit to contribute more noticeably to the overall flavour. The biscuit’s lightly caramelised, Maillard-driven notes came through clearly, giving a balanced interplay between biscuit and chocolate rather than allowing the filling to dominate.

Dark Chocolate Lange de Chat Cookie
The dark chocolate delivered a more assertive cocoa presence, richer and deeper in flavour. In this version, the chocolate clearly led the profile, with the biscuit serving mainly as a crisp, neutral counterpoint that provided textural contrast and restraint.

Overall, a refined and restrained confection that rewards slow eating, with the distinction between milk and dark chocolate thoughtfully expressed rather than blurred.
