This is the Haribo Grapefruit, which features slices in two flavours: grapefruit and pink grapefruit.

Each gummy took the form of a triangular slice that measured approximately 2.5 cm x 2.5 cm at its widest and longest points. There was a subtle citrus aroma emanating from the packaging, but it remained relatively unnoticeable otherwise. Both flavours were delicately coated in fine sugar. The grapefruit-flavoured slices displayed a pale yellow hue, while the pink grapefruit counterparts adopted a gentle salmon tint. Upon consumption, the gummies presented a notably firmer and less elastic texture compared to the Golden Bears. Biting into them required minimal effort as the teeth easily penetrated through the chew.

The yellow grapefruit slices began with a sharp burst of acidity, while the pink grapefruit slices commenced with a lighter sweetness. As one continued to chew both flavours, a luscious and flavourful grapefruit flavour unfolded, revealing its richness and juiciness mid-bite. In the case of the pink grapefruit slices, a subtle acidity emerged towards the conclusion. While the grapefruit flavour was refreshingly juicy, it’s worth noting that the inclusion of grapefruit oils in the flavouring led to a mild numbing sensation on the tongue after consuming several pieces. However, this minor drawback wouldn’t deter us from considering a repurchase.
