The Suntory Oolong Tea Hao Oolong Mango & Mandarin Tea Ade is a fruit-infused oolong tea beverage containing up to 15% juice from mango and mandarin. Inspired by the “ade” trend overseas (akin to bubble teas from Taiwan), this drink replicates the popular café style of mixing candied fruit with carbonated water.

The beverage had a opaque golden-orange hue and a bright, sweet mango aroma. Consumed chilled, the tropical sweetness of ripe mango dominated the initial sip, seamlessly transitioning to a subtle mandarin tang mid-palate. The oolong tea contributed an aromatic fruitiness throughout, with only a hint of astringency and no bitterness.

The flavour was reminiscent of mango-flavoured Tieguanyin, such as the Kataoka Ying Kee Tea House Mango Tekkannon, but this version offered a smoother mouthfeel and a more refined balance of flavours. The mellow mango sweetness, refreshing mandarin acidity, and fruity oolong undertones created a refreshing and well-rounded drink.
