This Bottlegreen Pomegranate & Elderflower Cordial  is the first variation on the original Bottlegreen Elderflower Cordial.

The cordial is an clear deep red colour with floral aroma and more prominent sweetness than the original. With this bottle, Bottlegreen has improved the design of their new bottles with a new cap that makes for mess free pouring, avoiding sticky drips running down the side of the bottle causing the lid to stick.

Diluted at a ratio of 1 part cordial to 10 parts still or carbonated water, the drink was a clear golden ochre colour with a sweet floral aroma almost identical to the original. Served chilled, a sweetness came through ahead with earthy pomegranate notes developing swiftly in the body with the characteristic crisp floral notes of the elderflower came through before a hint of the earthy pomegranate lingered in the aftertaste. Here, the pomegranate cuts through the heady floral notes of the elderflower to give the drink a lighter mouthfeel and avoids the slightly astringent aftertaste of the original.
