Coca-Cola I LOHAS Haskap

This is the Coca-Cola I LOHAS Haskap. It used extract from haskap (also known as blue honeysuckle) produced in Hokkaidō Prefecture.

The beverage was transparent and colourless, with an intense berry aroma that almost bordered on medicinal. Consumed chilled, it had a mellower flavour with a soft sweetness that developed into a juicy berry acidity mid-sip. The berry flavour was distinct and bright, combining the sweetness of a blueberry, the tartness of a raspberry, and the muskiness of a blackcurrant, but without any medicinal taste. Mid-sip, there was a subtle electrolyte-like mouthfeel and a faint savoury presence that the sweet fruitiness masked. Despite its rich flavour, the beverage left a clean finish with no lingering aftertaste, consistent with its appearance.

This Coca-Cola I LOHAS Haskap contained 540 mL. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2024.
