This Mama Non-Fried Ramen Spicy Miso is a variation on the rather lacklustre Original flavour aimed at the more health conscious.

The noodles consist of a dehydrated noodle cake and a sachet of seasoning powder. They’re prepared by cooking the noodles in 300 mL of water for 3 minutes on the stove.

These instant noodles have a prominent paprika aroma. Upon tasting, the paprika came through strong along with the more earthy flavour of miso and a moderate kick from the spiciness (but no where near as spicy as most Korean instant noodles). The noodles themselves are different from the original, and have a better bite and (good) chewiness that’s reminiscent of potato noodles. Overall, these were decent instant noodles and much more flavourful than the original flavour.

This Mama Non-Fried Ramen Spicy Miso contained 60 g. It was produced in Thailand and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
