This is the Mulberry Jasmine Green Tea from Gotcha ($6.40, normal ice, fixed sweetness). The drink was a translucent deep red-brown colour with whole mulberries at the base. Consumed chilled, a floral syrupy sweetness that’s watery but also recalled the same green tea flavour of Chatime drinks came through with a gentle acidity before a light astringency in the finish. The mulberry flavour was muted in the overall sweetness of the drink, with the tartness of the fruit coming through only when the whole mulberries are eaten. Overall, this drink isn’t something for which we’d return.
