Just as a heatwave took hold of the south-eastern of Australia, Ben and Jerry’s promoted their recently released pint slices and were giving them away for free near Central Station. This one here is the Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices The Tonight Dough.

The flavour, The Tonight Dough, was launched in tub for in 2015 to celebrate Jimmy Fallon’s takeover of The Tonight Show. It featured ‘caramel and chocolate ice cream with chocolate cookie swirls and gobs of chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough’. These pint slices feature cylindrical slices (~2 cm) of the ice cream enrobed in chocolate.

The ice cream is smooth and creamy with a rich chocolate and caramel flavour that holds its own to the cookie dough ‘gobs’, which were the stand out in this ice cream, with both flavours adding bright pops of chewy flavour — the choc chip chunks added chunky texture while the peanut adding a moreish nuttiness. These were a delicious treat commanding a similar price to scoops of gelato, alas.
This Ben & Jerry’s Pint Slices The Tonight Dough contained 3x 90 ml. It was produced in the United States and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
