This is the Glico Pretz Salty Lemon. As suggested by its name, it was flavoured with salt and lemon with the addition of black pepper, and contained 0.6% lemon juice.

Each box contained two silver bags with a green print.

Each bag contained around 20 biscuit sticks. The Pretz were dusted in a yellow and black seasoning and had a bright and tart aroma of lemon juice.

Upon tasting, the tartness of the lemon juice came through immediately with an intense salivating acidity before a deep salty flavour emerged in the body. Gentle notes of pepper finished the bite and left a hint of spice lingering in the aftertaste. The overall flavour recalled the coating on a lemon and pepper crumbed fish with the acidity of the lemon juice and none of the zestiness of the rind, but the savoury mid-notes begged for a deeper umami savouriness along the lines of a chicken base.
This Glico Pretz Salty Lemon contained 62 g. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2021.
