The potato chips had the appearance of thick-cut, kettle-cooked chips and were coated with a white seasoning speckled with black, emitting a fragrance of freshly cracked pepper. Upon tasting, the initial sensation was a hint of sweet acidity, attributed to the inclusion of sugar and vinegar powder. Despite this, we appreciated the hearty potato flavour and satisfying crunch of these chips. However, their taste, with its sweetness and acidity, deviated from the straightforward ‘sea salt and cracked pepper’ promise on the packaging.
