This Sanpellegrino Melograno e Arancia is one of the flavours by Sanpellegrino that are more difficult to find in Sydney (so far, we’ve only seen it at Harris Farm Markets and some Dan Murphy’s). It’s described as a ‘sparkling beverage with orange juice (10%) and pomegranate juice (6%)’.

The beverage was a translucent red-pink colour with red cherry and a hint of citrus in the nose and a moderate carbonation. Served chilled, a zesty orange emerged briefly ahead of the characteristic sweet and tart red cherry notes of pomegranate developing in the body with the sweeter juice of orange flesh coming through in the finish before leaving a clean aftertaste as a result of the carbonation. Overall, the flavour strongly recalled cough medicine, only with more depth and a balanced sweetness.

This Sanpellegrino Melograno e Arancia contained 330 ml. It was produced in Italy and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2018.
