This is the Mango Sago from Tiger Sugar ($10.00, less ice, fixed sweetness). It consisted of layers of sago, aloe vera, mango coconut jelly, mango cubes, mango nectar and cream mousse.
The drink had a bright yellow-white gradient, shaken by the staff before serving. Consumed chilled, the mango flavour took centre stage, offering a vibrant and sweet tropical fruit taste, complemented by a refreshing touch of sourness from the fresh mango cubes. The combination of textures was masterfully executed, with variations in the delightful elasticity of the sago, aloe vera, and jelly, contrasted by the tender ripe mango pieces. All of these elements were harmoniously united by the cream mousse, resulting in a refreshing and velvety beverage without overpowering dairy notes.
In summary, this was the most enjoyable mango pomelo sago drink we’ve had from a Sydney bubble tea store. It featured a more substantial and fresher mango flavour compared to Gong Cha’s version and boasted a more drinkable consistency than the one from Milk Flower.
This Mango Sago was purchased from Tiger Sugar in Sydney, Australia in September 2023.
