Uniqlo Coffee, Tōkyō

Opened just two weeks prior to the visit, UNIQLO Shinjuku Honten in Tōkyō introduces several concept offerings under one roof: UNIQLO Coffee (a café space), UNIQLO Flower (seasonal floral displays), RE.UNIQLO STUDIO (for clothing repair and customisation), UTme! (which enables custom T-shirt printing), and a collection of exclusive Shinjuku-themed items developed in collaboration with local businesses.

UNIQLO Coffee is located on the second floor, offering a compact yet comfortable café area where customers can enjoy beverages and snacks, including sweets sourced from local Shinjuku confectioners. The seating overlooks Shinjuku-dōri, providing a pleasant vantage point for a short rest.

La France Pear Frappe (¥400)

Prepared from canned La France pear, ice, and Monin syrup, the frappe was smooth and refreshing. The texture was consistent and fine, with a subtle graininess that confirmed the use of real pear. The flavour was balanced and naturally sweet, making it a beverage worth repurchasing.

There is also intent to return and sample the featured confections from local makers, including the Mont Blanc, sweet potato, and cheese cakes from Nakamuraya, as well as dorayaki from Bunmeidō.

UNIQLO Coffee presents a modest yet thoughtful integration of local flavours and design within the broader retail experience. It is a pleasant space to pause, with a solid beverage offering and meaningful connection to the local Shinjuku area.

Uniqlo Coffee is located inside 2F Uniqlo Shinjuku Honten, 3 Chome−29−1, Shinjuku, Shinjuku City, 160-0022 Tōkyō, Japan.
