This is the UHA Mikakutō Cororo Shimizu White Peach, made with purée from Shimizu peaches and concentrated apple juice. The Shimizu peach, originating from Okayama Prefecture, is a premium Japanese variety renowned for its exceptional sweetness, soft texture, and fragrant aroma—often referred to as the “queen of peaches”.

Each pack contained 9 gummies, shaped like small sausages with a golden-yellow hue, measuring approximately 2 cm in length and 1.5 cm in diameter. The gummies emitted a sweet, vibrant aroma characteristic of ripe white peach.
On tasting, the outer membrane gave way with a crisp snap, revealing a firm, jelly-like interior. The texture resembled a gelatin-set jelly, with a slight bounce and a more pronounced al dente ‘crunch’ from the outer casing, which remained consistent throughout the chew. The Shimizu peach flavour appeared immediately—beginning with mellow sweetness that developed into a fragrant, floral richness. This melted on the palate with a note of juicy acidity, closely echoing the texture and flavour evolution of the fruit itself. A honeyed intensity followed in the finish, leaving behind a lingering floral, sweet-tart aftertaste.
Overall, this gummy delivered a well-executed expression of Shimizu peach, offering nuanced texture and a flavour experience that captured the delicacy and depth of the fruit.
