Haribo Happy Grapes

We picked up these Haribo Happy Grapes during a visit to Haribo World in Seoul. They’re not at all exclusive to that location, but somewhat more difficult to find in Australia.

The bag contained three grape flavours from different varietals (left to right): Muscat, Concord, and Kyohō. All the gummies had a similar very firm bounce, for which Haribo Golden Bears are well known, but these grape gummies required a bit more effort for the jaw due to their slightly larger size, measuring around 2 x 1.5 x 1 cm. In terms of flavour:

  1. Muscat: Displaying a green hue, this variety showcased the distinct fragrant mango and melon notes of Muscat grapes in a vibrant manner.
  2. Concord: With its deep purple-black colour, this gummy delivered a richly sweet and fruity Concord grape flavour, devoid of any noticeable acidity.
  3. Kyohō: Sporting a deep red shade, this gummy presented a bright grape flavour that adeptly captured the sweet and gently acidic characteristics of Kyohō grapes.

Overall, our enjoyment of these grape gummies was considerable. The balanced sweet-sour profile of the Kyohō variant stood out as our favourite, closely followed by the delicate tropical quality of the Muscat. The combination of a firm and bouncy mouthfeel with impeccable fruity grape flavours provides us with compelling reasons to consider repurchasing these gummies.

This Haribo Happy Grapes contained 100 g. It was produced in Austria and purchased in South Korea in 2023.
