This is the Pastelaria Chui Heong Almond Cookies, traditional hand-made almond cookies grilled over charcoal. They are crafted using American almonds, mung bean flour, sugar, vegetable oil, and peanut butter.

Each cookie measured approximately 6 cm in diameter and 1 cm in height, pressed into a mould bearing the Chinese characters of the bakery’s name.
The cookies had a nutty, slightly sweet almond aroma, with visible whole and crushed almonds on the surface. On tasting, they were firm and provided an enjoyable, slightly crumbly crunch. The flavour was mellow in sweetness, offering a rich nuttiness balanced by a subtle savoury quality from the almonds. While the cookie had a powdery texture that could feel dry on the palate, the sugar melted pleasantly, adding moisture without becoming cloying. Overall, these were among our favourite almond cookies and ones we would repurchase.
This Pastelaria Chui Heong Almond Cookies contained 10 pieces. It was produced in Macau and received as a gift from family visiting Macau in 2024.
