This KoO Snow Limchee ($8.80, regular sweetness) was the second of two drinks we tried during our time in Canberra. It’s an ‘ice blend with lychee, fresh[ly] squeezed lime juice and jasmine green tea, and come[s] with lychee jelly’.
The beverage was semi-transparent beige with lychee jelly at the base and topped with a slice of lime. The floral, tropical notes of lychee came through at the head of each sip, but its usual sweetness was subdued by the fresh tanginess of the lime and the dewy notes of the jasmine green tea base. Surprisingly, that meant the lychee, lime and jasmine came through in equal measure. This left us with a weaker lychee flavour than we were expecting in the liquid component, but the overall drink was redeemed by the jellies that amplified the lychee flavour with every sip. Overall, this was a refreshing beverage.
