This is Yummy Street Food, a casual Chinese venue focused on noodle soups, wontons and other simple, soup- and noodle-based dishes.

Beef Brisket Noodle Soup ($18.80, thick rice noodle)
The bowl contained thick rice noodles in a deeply savoury beef soup, with tender pieces of brisket, bok choy, scallions and goji berries. Initial contact delivered a concentrated beef savouriness alongside the substantial bite of the thick rice noodles. The brisket was particularly tender, breaking down easily with little resistance, while bok choy provided a fresh crunch against the softer components. Scallions added a sharp herbaceous edge, and goji berries contributed small points of sweetness. An even layer of sesame oil covered the surface of the soup. This was not chilli oil and did not introduce heat, but coated the noodles as they emerged from the broth, adding further richness. Combined with the insulated serving bowl, the heat was retained to an extent that the soup remained scaldingly hot and significantly slowed consumption. The bowl remained satisfying despite the heat retention, with the rich broth, tender brisket and contrasting vegetables working cohesively.

Fuzhou Wonton Soup ($10.80, 13 pieces)
A Fujian specialty, the wontons featured ultra-thin, translucent wrappers made from pounded lean pork rather than conventional flour-based wrappers. This produced an unusually tender, smooth and delicate bite with a slight crispness to the wrapper. The filling contained finely minced lean pork with light seasoning, keeping the meat savoury without becoming heavy. The broth was comparatively light, accented by a restrained combination of vinegar, sesame oil, white pepper, seaweed and chives. Through the mid-palate, the delicate pork wrapper and finely textured filling remained distinct from the light broth, while the vinegar provided enough acidity to prevent the sesame oil from becoming excessive. White pepper added a gentle aromatic warmth rather than overt heat. The finish was clean and balanced, with the vinegar and chives maintaining freshness against the savoury pork. The broth was particularly well integrated with the wontons, resulting in a soup substantial enough to finish rather than leave behind.

Overall, Yummy Street Food was defined by deeply savoury, comforting soups and careful textural contrast, with execution strongest where simple components were allowed to retain their individual character. The Beef Brisket Noodle Soup offered greater depth and richness, while the Fuzhou Wonton Soup was the more delicate and balanced of the two.
