This bar of Cadbury Dairy Milk Marvellous Creations Max! Popping Candy, Fizz Lollies, Jelly is easily my favourite in their entire lineup. It’s an amped up version of the Cadbury Marvellous Creations Jelly Popping Candy Beanies, which was my favourite prior to the introduction of this Max! version.
The bar contained popping candy (12%), fizz lollies (7%) and jelly (6%) covered in milk chocolate (75%). It deviates from their usual square blocks format.
So why is this such a delight? Every bite starts off with the smooth melt-in-your-mouth milk chocolate dissolving the generous popping candy and fizz lollies causing your mouth tingle all over. Once that recedes, the jellies scattered throughout are exposed backing up the literal explosion of flavour with their chewy texture and cherry flavour. I’m not usually a fan of foods that mix a bunch of things together – they can be better appreciated by themselves usually – but this one is truly a marvellous creation.
