Supreme Gourmet Pizza Bar in Concord has become a somewhat regular source for dinner after a long afternoon spent playing board games.
This is the Seafood Marinara (large, $21.90) with tiger prawns, scallops, mussels, roasted Roma tomatoes, bocconcini topped with shallows and garnished with fresh basil and a wedge of lemon on a tomato base.
This is one of my favourite pizzas to eat — the seafood is fresh, plump and generous, while the tomatoes and basil add freshness and finally, the bocconcini add the moreish glue that holds it all together.
Following on from the seafood theme, this is the Szechuan Prawn (large, $21.90) with chilli Szechuan seasoned prawn, baby spinach, Spanish onion, roasted capsicum, fresh capsicum, garnished with crushed cashews, pesto sauce & a wedge of lemon on a tomato base.
The prawns just as plump and juicy here with a gentle heat from the chilli Szechuan seasoning that’s just enough for flavour without burning. The capsicum and the pesto sauce add freshness.
This is the Szechuan Chicken (large, $20.90) with spicy Szechuan chicken breast, roasted capsicum, Spanish onion, jalapenos, topped with peri-peri sauce on a tomato base.
Surprisingly, they don’t just swap the prawn out for the chicken in this pizza. The addition of jalapenos and peri-peri sauce kicks up the spicy burn in this pizza, but I prefer the prawn version for its freshness and more enjoyable spiciness.
Finally, this is the Supreme (large, $20.90) with pepperoni, smoked ham, fresh capsicum, Spanish onions, mushrooms, pineapple and kalamata olives on a tomato base.
I’m not much of a fan of this flavour of pizza, not being a fan of olives or onion, but the amount of toppings piled onto this pizza is amazing with a juicy 2:1 topping to base ratio.
These are the Buffalo Chicken Wings (6 pack, $7.90). These wings are juicy but I’m not convinced by the gentle tanginess to them.
These BBQ Chicken Wings (6 pack, $7.90), though, are sticky and sweet all the while being juicy.
The pizzas are Supreme Gourmet Pizza Bar are truly gourmet with a generous amount of fresh and tasty toppings.
