This Connoisseur Gourmet Ice Cream Vanilla Caramel Brownie was released at the end of winter in 2018. It’s described as having ‘rivers of gooey caramel sauce generously entwined with chewy brownie pieces, gently folded through vanilla flavoured ice cream’. The packaging made the ice cream look so delectable.
The ice cream is mostly an off-white colour reflecting its vanilla base with areas of light brown for the caramel sauce, and specks of brownies here and there. After looking forward to something like what was offered on the packaging, we were disappointed by the appearance of the actual ice cream — we expected rivers of caramel, rather than caramel-flavoured ice cream, as well as large chunks of brownie rather than the smalls specks. First impressions aside, the ice cream tastes much like a rich and creamy, but very sweet, vanilla ice cream with the mouthfuls that have brownies being chewy and rich chocolate highlights — we need more of the brownies!
