Always up for some crunch, we picked up these Ocean Chef Lightly Seasoned Squid Chips from the freezer section. They’re described as ‘tender squid chips coated in [a] delicious crumb’ and contained 45% squid.

They can be prepared by either oven baking or deep frying. We prefer the former, baking them in a preheated air fryer at 180°C for around 10 minutes, tossing half way through, until golden brown.

The golden brown batter of these squid chips cook to a delicious crunch that delivered just enough garlic, parsley, black pepper and oregano to flavour the squid innards that remain juicy and tender after cooking. We’re firm fans, although slightly disappointed that they’re produced in China rather than locally.
This Ocean Chef Lightly Seasoned Squid Chips contained 360 g. It was produced China and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2019.
