This Darrell Lea Milk Chocolate Harbour Fireworks is the second of the two flavours we swapped during the block swap in Westfield Parramatta from 25-27 October. This is our favourite of the two blocks — the other being Milk Chocolate Gold Coast Road Trip.
It’s described as being ‘packed with caramelised popcorn, rice bubbles and popping candy’.
The chocolate bar has a toasted popcorn aroma that came through immediately on tasting to deliver a more-ish savoury flavour that complements the sweetness of the smooth milk chocolate. Mid-bite, the popping candy follows swiftly and persisted into the finish. Together with the toasted popcorn flavour, the popping candy does indeed give the impression of fireworks on a hot summer’s evening. With the winning combination of flavours and textures, we’re firm fans of this flavour.
