Brooklyn Bridge Deli opened its Parramatta Square location in November 2025, marking the occasion with an opening-week promotion that featured a different signature sandwich each day for $10.00.

The Reuben ($10.00, normally $16.50) featured corned beef, house-made Russian dressing, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, pickle, and New York rye.
The corned beef was sliced to a satisfying thickness, offering a hearty texture that balanced well with the crunch and gentle acidity of the sauerkraut, which held together neatly within the sandwich. The mild, nutty flavour of the Swiss cheese unified the elements, echoing the buttery undertones of the rye.

The Pastrami ($10.00, normally $16.50) included pastrami, American mustard, Swiss cheese, pickle, and New York rye.
In this instance, it was served on wholemeal rather than rye—likely due to stock—resulting in the loss of the rye’s characteristic earthiness and nutty depth. The pastrami had a slight heat from the chilli flakes on its crust, contributing a lively spiced profile of pepper, coriander, and mustard without overpowering the beef’s tenderness and flavour. The pickle added a welcome crunch and tang, while the Swiss cheese provided a soft, nutty balance. The overall impression was of a spicier, more assertive counterpart to the Reuben.
Overall, both sandwiches were satisfying, especially when toasted, as the warmth heightened the flavours and improved the texture. At $10.00 they offered strong value, though at the regular price of $16.50 they would be harder to justify—particularly when compared to the satisfaction and value of a well-made bánh mì.
