This Vita Lemon Tea Ceylon is a variation on the original Lemon Tea made with Ceylon tea, rather than the usual nondescript black tea.
The beverage was a deeper brown colour with a sweet lemony aroma that’s less intense than the original lemon tea. Consumed chilled, the drink was very similar to the original lemon tea with sweet lemon notes of coming through ahead of the black tea in the body. The difference, though, is slight but distinct and gave a lighter beverage overall: the syrupy sweetness of the original is paired back slightly to give way to slightly more tart lemon flavour and a brisker and less bold black tea flavour from the Ceylon. This Ceylon version is slightly more sophisticated and less of a sugar rush, making it more enjoyable.
This Vita Lemon Tea Ceylon contained 250 ml. It was produced in Hong Kong and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2020.
