The mini bar is a pastel yellow colour and contained milk chocolate flavoured cream sandwiching the wafers that are enrobed in white chocolate that’s been mixed with powders containing 2.5% pineapple and 2.5% banana.
The KitKat has a tropical pineapple aroma much like pineapple juice. Upon tasting, the sweetly acidic notes of pineapple came through briefly at the head before the tropical notes with a richer sweetness to distinctly recall banana. The melting of the chocolate cream in the centre creates a choc banana flavour in the body before the gentle acidity of the pineapple returns in the finish. While the pineapple flavour was evident, the presence of the banana interferes with the freshness and uniqueness of the pineapple namesake for a flavour profile that’s more aptly named ‘tropical’.
