The chips were dusted in a brown coloured seasoning speckled with green and have the onion and garlic aroma of most potato chips. Upon tasting, an bright sweetness hits the palate immediately before developing in depth to recall barbecue sauce that usually accompanies braised beef. The savoury beef notes are subtle, coming through mostly in the background against the overarching sweetness that very much recalled caramelised onion. While the chips do capture the flavour of braised beef brisket with caramelised onion, we prefer our chips more savoury.
