John Belvedere opened on Parramatta’s Eat Street in May 2019, but with the ensuing two years of lockdowns, we only discovered its existence in February 2022. The restaurant’s interior featured a retro vibe, and its signature brand is stamped on top of every burger.

This was D’s Aussie Burger ($13.00) with beef patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, fried egg and beetroot paired with tomato sauce.
D enjoyed the tenderness of the beef patty, while the beetroot and fried egg added an Aussie touch. The egg was cooked through so there was no egg yolk mess to juggle, and the burger was well-constructed from well-seasoned and fresh ingredients, making it a most satisfying burger experience.

This was my Truffle Chicken Burger ($15.00 in March 2022, $16.00 in September 2022) with 12 hrs marinated fried chicken thigh, bacon, cheese, tomato and lettuce paired with truffle aioli.
This burger was easily one of the best I’ve enjoyed since BurgerFuel discontinued my favourite burger that featured ‘crispy fried cornflake chicken cooked in duck fat‘ before exiting Australia. Here, the bun was soft and toasted, yet held its shape throughout. The chicken was juicy, crunchy and well seasoned, while the cheese and the truffle aioli added a moreish earthiness that rounded out the overall flavour. To top it off, not a single drop of sauce escaped from the burger, which made eating it an even greater pleasure.

We’re thrilled to have discovered John Belvedere with its reasonable prices and tasty burgers.
John Belvedere is located at 318 Church St, Parramatta NSW 2150.
