This is the Gong Cha Grapefruit Mango Green Tea ($6.40, large, less ice, less sweetness). It consisted of a green tea base flavoured with mango purée and pomelo juice vesicles as a topping.
The drink was a cloudy deep orange colour. Consumed chilled, the mango purée delivered a bright and fresh mango flavour that sufficiently flavoured the green tea base, while the pomelo bits delivered a slightly tart hit every now and then without the usual bitterness associated with grapefruit. We would’ve enjoyed more pomelo bits, but overall, the drink had a refreshing and natural freshness despite being a rather pedestrian addition to Gong Cha’s offerings.
