Glico Pocky Gokuboso Chocolate a variant of the standard Chocolate. They’re ultra fine, about half the diameter of standard Pocky, but with the same thickness and type of chocolate enrobing each piece. This box celebrates 50 year’s since Glico Japan was founded with 2 bags of 50 pieces (it also apologises in advance that there may be more or less than 50 pieces as each pack is packed by weight).

A higher chocolate-to-biscuit ratio is the result of a thinner biscuit retaining the same thickness of chocolate coating. This creates a richer chocolate flavour and an additive snappy crispness.

The higher chocolate-to-biscuit ratio also means that less of the salty flavour of the biscuit came through, though, so that the Pocky becomes more of a crispy chocolate snack perfect for chocolate lovers without the savoury flavour of the original Pocky (above, top) biscuit to balance the richness of the chocolate. This makes them just slightly less moreish than the original though, as I enjoy the snap that comes with every bite of these Gokobuso Chocolate Pocky (above, bottom) immensely.
This Glico Pocky Gokuboso Chocolate contained 2 bags each with 50 biscuits. It was produced in Japan and purchased in Sydney, Australia in 2016.
