This is the Fujiya Hokkaidō Melon Squash. It contained 1% juice from melons grown in Hokkaidō.
The drink had a translucent grey-teal hue and emitted a sugary sweet aroma with subtle hints of melon, along with a moderate carbonation. When sipped while chilled, a sweet note of melon flavour, akin to an orange-fleshed cantaloupe rather than the green-fleshed muskmelon, appeared at the beginning of each sip. However, this flavour was swiftly overtaken by the prevailing taste of sugary water, which continued into the finish before the effervescent bubbles refreshed the palate for a clean aftertaste. Regrettably, the melon flavour was underwhelming, lacking both presence and depth. All in all, this beverage didn’t warrant a purchase, as it fell short in terms of both its unappealing gray-teal colour and uninspiring taste.
