This is the Kanro Puré Gumi Premium Sparkling Shine Muscat. It used juice from Shine Muscat grapes, a variety known for its high sugar content (20 to 25 Brix) and low acidity.
Each piece was a heart-shaped form, measuring approximately 3 x 2.5 x 0.5 cm. It featured a green core encased in a yellow outer layer that emitted a crisply sweet muscat aroma.
Upon tasting, the sour crystals on the gummy’s surface initiated a bright crunchy acidity, before reaching the sweeter gummy exterior with its sweet floral muscat quality balanced by softly tart lemony soda notes. The gummy’s dense, rather than bouncy, chew offered a compelling contrast to the soft-pureed centre, which had a melting texture that released vibrant musky tropical notes of mango with almost no acidity. In the finish, the lemony-like soda quality returned to complement the muscat flavour, creating a taste that vividly recalled a sparkling muscat soda. Notably, these gummies refrained from adhering to one’s teeth, leaving behind a clean aftertaste. As consistent with all variants within this series, the refined texture and flavour of these gummies make them a worthwhile choice for repurchase.
