This is the Suntory Horoyoi Pear & Apple, a seasonal flavour available during the autumn months of 2023.
The liqueur was transparent and colourless, with distinct notes of pear sweetness and apple tartness discernible in the aroma, and accompanied by a moderate carbonation. Upon tasting, the harmonious blend of these two pome fruits unfolded, with the subtle sweetness of pears taking the lead at the beginning of each sip, followed by the gentle crisp tartness of apples in the body before the bubbles cleansed the palate for a clean aftertaste. Both the apple and pear flavours remained distinct yet balanced, presenting themselves equally in each sip, and the minimal presence of alcohol bitterness allowed for the delightful experience of savouring the taste of these two seasonal fruits simultaneously.
