The latte had an opaque verdant green hue, accompanied by a grassy aroma and subtle seaweed savoury notes. Upon tasting, the addition of panela sugar infused a gentle molasses-like warmth to the matcha, introducing subtle caramel undertones that mitigated any bitterness from the matcha, all the while mtaining its inherent grassy quality and rich umami flavour. The matcha flavour stood out prominently with minimal astringency, complemented by the underlying milk without introducing any discernible dairy notes, resulting in a smooth mouthfeel and a well-rounded body. Overall, this matcha latte was well-crafted and merits a return visit when in the mood for such a beverage.
