This is the Asahi Mitsuya Nihon Kudamonogatari Golden Peach. It contained 1% juice from a variety of golden peaches discovered by chance in Nagano Prefecture.
The beverage had a translucent golden-orange hue with a fresh, sweet golden peach aroma and moderate carbonation. Upon tasting, the golden peach notes were immediately apparent, featuring the characteristic sweetness of mango and apricot before introducing a subtle hint of acidity in the body for a well-balanced flavour profile. In the finish, the bubbles effectively cleansed the palate of sweetness, leaving a lingering, albeit brief, golden peach essence. Despite deriving its flavour from 1% golden peach juice and peach extract, the overall taste remained remarkably vibrant and natural. We have and would repurchase this beverage to enjoy the delightful golden peach flavour, a rarity in drink form.
