This is the Asahi Wilkinson Tansan Go Tasty Apple. It was flavoured with apple extract rather than juice.
The drink had a transparent straw hue, a fresh apple aroma, and strong effervescence. When consumed chilled, the fragrant apple notes were prominent at the start of each sip, delivering a rich sweetness. However, by mid-sip, the tonic aspect became noticeable, cutting the apple flavour short and transitioning to a refreshing yet dry finish. The bubbles dissipated cleanly, leaving a crisp aftertaste.
While the beverage succeeded in offering a “mature” sweetness that felt less indulgent and arguably “healthier,” it lacked the revitalising boldness typically associated with apple juice-flavoured soft drinks. For this reason, it did not warrant repurchasing.
