This is the Truffettes de France Oursons Guimauves, featuring marshmallow bears coated in 30% milk chocolate.

Each box contained a single inner package with 14 bears, not individually sealed. Each bear measured approximately 4 cm in height, 2 cm in width, and 1.5 cm in depth.

On tasting, the milk chocolate coating formed a smooth, cohesive shell that held its shape while yielding easily to the extremely soft marshmallow interior. The chocolate delivered a rounded, milky sweetness with sufficient richness to balance and temper the sugariness of the marshmallow, while also providing a contrasting creamy texture against the pillowy, sticky centre. Rather than competing, the two components worked in quiet support of each other, with the chocolate acting as both flavour and structure.
Overall, a restrained and well executed confection, elevated beyond similar novelty products by the quality and balance of the chocolate.
This Truffettes de France Oursons Guimauves contained 200 g (14.5 g x 14 pieces). It was produced in France and received as a gift from acquaintances in Sydney, Australia in 2025.
