With news of Max Brenner going into administration and closing most of its stores in Australia, I took the chance to visit one last time on its last day of trading back in October.
This is the Max Brenner Toffee Hot Chocolate (large, $7.10). The chocolate base is smooth and creamy, coming through ahead of a rich toffee sweetness in the body that complements the hot chocolate without overwhelming with its sweetness.
It’s a pity that the Max Brenner stores are closing as they could be relied upon for a good hot chocolate. Perhaps The Three Chocolatiers can fill this gap?
