This is the CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice Panda Milk Tea ($7.50, large, half sugar, no ice). It consisted of a black milk tea base with black pearl and white sago toppings.
Consumed chilled, the black milk tea base was enjoyable with a bold tea flavour and smooth mouthfeel that was thicker than those from Chatime but thinner than Machi Machi or Bubble Nini. The addition of sago as a topping was a minor twist on the basic pearl milk tea, but one that elevated the textural experience of the drink. While the black pearls delivered the addictive chewiness that we love, the smaller sago provided a more intense bounce to the teeth, with the two giving each sip a surprise.
This Panda Milk Tea was purchased from CoCo Fresh Tea & Juice in Sydney, Australia in May 2022.
